Rob Barlow

Rob Barlow

Rob has been heavily involved with the sea for almost all his life. He has been a commercial fisherman, scallop diver, commercial saturation diver and inshore waters dive supervisor in West Coast of Scotland, North Sea and Norway. In addition he is a CSWIP and Lloyds qualified inspection diver with over 20 years experience in the North Sea and worldwide as offshore diver but principally in Mexico, Nigeria, India.

Qualified to HSE parts 1, 2, 3 and 4, Rob has been involved in many commercial salvage operations, most recently working with a team to unearth the famous Galleon (perhaps Santa Maria De La Rosa) in Tobermorey harbour, near his home, on the beautiful Island of Mull…

His nautical qualifications are no less impressive. He is a RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Commercial (motor) skipper and owner of the Elizabeth G. This famous Norwegian Rescue Ship undertakes diving and wildlife charters off the west coast of Scotland to St Kilda and the Outer Hebrides. Rob is he most experienced St Kilda skippers being there over 120 times.
