St Kilda Dive Guide
The Divers Guide to St Kilda is not an easy book to come by as it is no longer in print. If you do manage to get hold of a copy you will quickly realise that the report is outdated and lacking in substance for use as a detailed guide for any of the specific sites. It has got to the point where divers now have to rely on the knowledge of the skippers and any divers blogs they may have read before setting off.
Our objective is to produce a truly essential guide to the island, to include all the basic information that both divers and skippers need to undertake the dives safely and confidently. Collecting some fantastic pictures of the sites and the marine life, hopefully the book will also be of interest to any none diving St Kilda enthusiast who never gets to see the wonders below the surface as well as above.
Triton Oceanic has already completed much of the research and development of this new divers guide. We have Seafarer publishers interested in the production and following several trips to St Kilda aboard the Elizabeth āGā, we have gathered definitive information about the known dive sites as well as sites that have never been recorded before.
Simon Campbell will be travelling back to St Kilda in August 2009 to pick up the last remaining bits of information. If you fancy joining Simon and getting yourself involved, get in touch with him for a chat
